    It’s a sure thing that it’s Domino’s Pizza way of advertising its product in a slightly different way than the rivalry do. If you would ask about my opinion on the topic then I would say that I’m always for diversification of things we see over and over again in everyday life. Let’s take for example the latest trend to make dull buildings and city streets more colourful and interesting – streetart. Even in Poland cities are starting to agree to paint walls with sprays or make murals. It’s not just about painting walls in a nice way. There’s often something that artist want to deliver to people. Take, for example, a mural that we can find near Library of Warsaw University. Grey, boring and not too good looking building was covered with colourful and humorous image of Madame Marie Curie. It marks the 100th anniversary of the Nobel Prize awarded to her. It diversifies the town, cover an old nasty wall and also make people remember about this important event. Going back to the pizza boxes, it’s a bit similar case. Even such a common thing, that we do not specially notice, can become interesting. Speaking a bit off the topic I was really surprised when I discovered some time ago that Dominium Pizza is coming back to Poland. They recently opened their first restaurant in Poland near the place where I live. I remember it from my childhood as the favourite pizza of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It disappeared in 2002 when the company representing Domino’s Pizza in Poland bankrupted. I’m looking forward to try it again after so many years.

    I don’t really understand where should I post my comment, so I post it here. Also the deadline of this task is too ambiguous to me. It stated that it’s 24.03 then it changed to 22.

    The article shows us that humanity will use the Moon as an intermediate station on the way on Mars. Just land, tank the car and go…
    Actually that’s becoming more realistic then we think. Some time ago scientists explored that Moon contains pure isotope of helium (Helium-3). The most efficient fuel ever. Physics said that one fully tanked spaceship could produced as same power as all USA over the one year. So the first idea was to use Moon as a petrol station exploring the Universe, but now we are thinking seriously about adopted Moon’s helium as a alternative electric source for the Earth. Now we have to consider how to transport the helium directly to our planet. So far so good…

  4. I think we should post it as a separate “New post”, then we will have an opportunity to comment everything correctly. But… I did as my ‘predecessor’ :) because I don’t want to be ‘a freak'.

    Personally, I think the whole secret of good design ads with food stuck in colors that provide a potential customer. People walking down the street does not necessarily looking for an exclusive logo, and outdoor advertising that will attract and the temptation of their senses to taste the food.

    This type of advertising does not necessarily speaks to me looks more like a massacre at this wonderful sauce.

    Maybe in the true pizza sauce is the main culprit of its good taste, unfortunately, in Warsaw very hard for good pizza ...

    I am a boy that grew up with the memory of legos. Legos was part of my childhood memory. In 1916, Legos was originally founded by Ole Kirk Christiansen. It started off in a small carpentry workshop in Billund Denmark. The business got hit by fire twice. Once it was in 1924 and the second time was in 1960. After the fire had hit Lego corp in 1960, almost all the wooden toys which was the core of business were burned and gone.
    Due to the fire, Legos decided to switch the business into producing plastic bricks which became known as the LEGOS. In this video LEGOS avatars were put into a basketball match. It is the combination of traditional and modern entertainments. The visual effect was achieved by the power of motion picture. There is even a sport reporter at the background. It is almost like watching a real match. I have found this video extremely fascinating. Unfortunately, this was made as a parody. I hope that people can be more open minded on other people's ideas and creativity.

  7. i also think people should be more open minded, we shouldn't be scared of new stuffs. The most fascinating thing in art but not only of course is when people create combinations of old and new. It makes our views more fresh.

  10. http://blogs.ft.com/fttechhub/2011/03/intel-phone-chief-quits-abruptly/

    First off all it is hard to believe that Anand Chandrasekher is only 24 years old. :)

    Secondly, I do not like the idea of creating a phone by Intel. The name "Intel" makes us think of processors. In my opinion such products as: motherboards, modems or hard drives are still somehow related, but a phone does not quite fit into this brand and they should give up on this.

    Anand's choice feels therefore reasonable for me.

    http://www.wired.com/science/discoveries/magazine/17-10/st_coffee

    The constantly growing popularity of coffee has made me even more resilient to it. Not everyone following the suit of drinking the mix of caffeine and other stimulants, realises how dangerous it may be. Before you decide to foot the bill in a cafe, remember that coffee is beating the death knell of our health!

    @Hubert

    I also cannot imagine how my childhood would have looked like without legos! :))) . Not only teaches this game creativity, but is a perfect way of spending free time as far as children and adults are concerned.

    I think it's fun and interesting to read about the Chinese zodiac and I find some things accurate about me (my zodiac animal is a dragon, but don't put a whole lot of weight in it.

I drink three coffee every day. It's keep me awake to work sometimes for more then normally eight hours. What can I say, this is my favourite drug.

  16. http://www.wired.com/cars/coolwheels/magazine/17-10/ff_ecars

    The article is about senior people who pimp their little cars. I think it's kinda funny - they seem to be really passionate about their automobiles. Did you ever think that some old guy would waste his time to "overclock" a golf ride? They put them through the hoops - top speed 40mph made out of 20 - it's 100% boost, what great score! Besides, just take a look at those photos - those carts are astonishing. And what made me really laugh is that those seniors make something against the law - you may not tweak your golf cart to go faster than 20 mph and they do that! It's not like being on the edge of a cliff, I know, but why it took my attention is that I was convinced that elders are afraid of everything that is wrong. And what is accually happening - they don't care about the law at all. Role models ;)

  17. There were so many different articles to choose from, and nearly every single one was immediately interesting to me. I was surprised about how difficult it was to decide which to take. Pleasant indecision would be a good way to describe it, I think.

    http://1800recycling.com/2011/03/steampunk-insects-recycle-bullets/

    The steampunk aesthetic has always interested me. Small broken things that are normally considered not valuable are organized in a specific way. The goal of this deliberate organization is to make an object more aesthetically pleasing. The broken useless objects have a new value not previously present: Aesthetic value.

    This could possibly also answer a question some may commonly ask- What's purpose of the collection of metal that has been tampered with in order to resemble an insect?

    Nothing, except from it's pleasant design and style. This in my opinion is means of expression. Specifically, the object is a way to express artist's creativity.

    And making insects of bullets certainly seems creative to me.

    @s8939

    I agree with your view about art. For me,often times I tend to think the medium of the art is not too important, but instead how exactly the medium is used.

  18. Sorry for writing so late but i just found where i should write about the article i have read.

    http://www.wired.com/politics/security/magazine/17-10/mf_deadhand

    Did you see the movie "Dr Strangelove" by Stanley Kubrick? It's just incredible what the invention of the atomic weapon brought us to. Both the US and the Soviet Union built systems of auto response in case they're attacked - a device that would almost automatically drown the world in nuclear fire. What's worst, in the situation of both empires having montruous arsenals it was the most reasonable way to act - can you feel what a senseless thing it is?

    It's a spiral of destruction, it's builiding a system of fear, life in uncertainty of tomorrow. And the worst thing about it is that both systems are still working!
